Man jailed for six years for assault
A 27-YEAR-OLD MAN has been jailed for six years for the serious assault of a woman in Oban. Daniel Torrie violently attacked his victim at a property on Monday, 17 November, 2025. He was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow, on Friday, 9 October, 2026, having previously pled guilty to the offence. Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Gillies said: “Daniel Torrie is a dangerous individual and we welcome his sentencing for his despicable actions.
